Welcome all, and thank you for your interest in going solar. My name is Erik G Cougle, and I'm the founder of Solguard - Solar Consumer Defense Agency. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you decide if solar is right for your situation. First I'd like to give you some background on who you're talking to. I came up in the small, rural, farm town of Independence located in the seemingly secret northwest region of New Jersey that few know exists and is the reason NJ is called the Garden State. The son of a builder, I worked carpentry and construction for most of my youth. However, my father wasn't just a builder, he was an avid outdoorsman and wildlife conservationist who never littered, picked up after those who did, and always encouraged me to leave things in better condition than I found them. With living in harmony with nature being a central theme to my upbringing, it wasn't long before the renewable energy cause caught my attention. Between 2010 and 2020 I worked for several different solar companies doing everything from installations, to door knocking, and in time, moved to residential sales. As time passed I noticed that nearly every company I worked for attempted to motivate their reps with luxury cars, vacations, and lavish lifestyles. Though such things were certainly alluring, just like the prices my bosses were having me present to my clients, something didn't add up. By the end of my decade in the solar industry I had seen and learned enough to know that although solar will absolutely and undoubtedly save homeowner's meaningful amounts of money, without having a well-versed solar representative to steer them right homeowners aren't getting nearly as big of a chunk of the pie as they deserve. This was the birth of Solguard - the Solar Consumer Defense Agency. I believe in solar to my core, it's my way of leaving the world in better condition than I found it. I founded this company to give homeowners what they deserve - plain, honest talk, and a maximized financial gain. In doing so, and in time, I aim to change the way solar is distributed in America. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and putting a lot of money back in your pockets.
